We should help child to get proper nutrition and environment for supporting the shaping child brain development. The support should be provided in right time and in right way. Escaping the proper time, the growth or shaping of brain would not be in intended way and child would not grow with their full potential.

Networking of brain cells in shaping of child brain

Neurons are the brain cells that connect through synapses, and the formation of these synapses significantly shapes brain structure, especially during early childhood. By age two, a child’s number of synapses matches that of an adult, and by age three, it can reach 1000 trillion double that of an adult. This dense network of synapses requires a substantial amount of energy, leading to increased metabolism for food digestion and absorption in early development.

Responsibility of parents for shaping of child brain

The number of synapses occurred many more rather used and sustain in future. So, in the age of 3, the synapses are started to break down. Then the question is why these synapses have been done? What is the significance of happening the extra synapses. It is natural and yes, there is logic behind it. The process of breaking synapses is pruning. As the connections of brain cells is very important, why pruning takes place? The formula of this happening is “Use it or lose it”. So, parent can stimulate child to make functioning of the created connections.

Parent Support While Gathering Experiences

While experiences are gathered and which brain circuits are used, they become more complex and permanent. Which circuits are not being used; they face breaking. Now, what should the do? Parents have the responsibility to create opportunity for the children to face the event, do things, solve problems and thus the brain circuits used. This way the cells network becomes complex and expert and consistent as permanent.

Some examples shaping of brain and function

The cerebral cortex is crucial for language and thinking, with children who engage this part of the brain becoming proficient in these skills, while those who do not may struggle. Parents can help by providing opportunities for conversation, storytelling, and social interaction, which enhance a child’s language abilities.

Contribution of environment and culture in shaping of brain

Environment, society and culture contribute in getting experiences and become expert and getting skills. It is observed that, the community who are dependent on hunting, the children of that community become expert on hunting. The reason behind this happening is, the children face the issue of hunting and thus the brain parts regarding the issue are used and circuits get more complex. By using these circuits more and more, the child eventually got expert on the event. If you want to learn more Click here.

Final thoughts for shaping of child brain

The formation of brain circuit is important, but this is not the final thing of shaping of child brain. These circuits have to be used effectively, otherwise they will face pruning or rupture. Which circuits are not used and consequently get pruning; the child will be deprived from characters derived from that circuits. The parents have the responsibility to think how they can create opportunity to use the brain function of the child and make him expert in which areas.
