Everybody around the children can be playmates. When situation is created and gets familiar, children can engage with play with anyone. Children can play with parents, siblings, and the children of neighbors and so on. While playing, children engage with conversation, laughter, physical attachment etc. and all these contribute to the development of a child. Through these phenomena, children learn about the surroundings, environment and exploring the world.
Development of Imagination for Child Development
After one year age or graduation from infancy, child can be engaged with pretend play and primarily grow his imagination power. When the children reach to the age of around two years, they can be involved with more complex play and the imagination capacity reach to higher level. Getting such a level, children can imagine themselves in the place of an animal, object, or of another human. For instance, they can pretend to milk feeding of a baby and thus imagine to take the role of a mother.

Through thinking this sort of replacing a human or object to another role, children grow the symbolic thoughts. This is an important progress which is part of cognitive development.
Responsibility of Parents While pPay for Child Development
Having the imperativeness of play, what parent should do? The responsibility of parents and adults should enhance this imagination power of child. To do so, what will we do? We should create the environment where the child can practice this pretending capacity. To get this opportunity, parent should supply the play materials like utensils, dolls, puppet etc. Simultaneously, we should create the room for child to practice the imagination power. For example, dad can say with a play cup, “Do you take juice?” Or he can pretend to have tea and say, “Oh! the tea is too hot”. If you require more information Click here.
